I am so sorry I have not been able to post everyday like I had hoped I would be able to do. I have been so busy from the moment I got here. So now that I have a little time to slow down here is a recap of everything I’ve done this past week.
Sunday- I drove up from home to Greenville, SC to meet the other Under Armour Intern Kevin Gottlieb. We then continued on to Baltimore, MD and 9 hours later we were finally here!!! We are living at the University of Maryland Baltimore County with some of the Rookie Program interns who are also here for the summer. We went out to dinner with some friends and then went back to rest up for our first day.
Monday- Our first day at UA and it was AWESOME!!!! We met so many people and went to our first meeting just an hour after we got there! We got our desks and laptops and got to work! It was a very very busy day but so much fun too!
Tuesday - Day two. We met EVEN MORE people and started learning our way around the buildings. We had quite a few meetings again to learn from those who had been around in the company for a while. We started getting to work on our projects and have already been getting really good feedback.
Wednesday - More meetings … haha But we left a little after lunch and took the train up to New York City to have dinner with Digitaria’s CEO Dan Khabie and a few other people in the digital media business. Dan has some really great ideas and is energetic and passionate about each one! We walked around NYC for a little bit then took the train back to Baltimore.
Thursday - Finally a day without a meeting! The days go by SO FAST here! I don’t even realize what time it is most of the time because we are always running around or working on something. But this has been an incredible experience so far and I’m even more excited for what is to come!
Friday- A morning meeting with some of the Digital and Social Media teams then it was off to the 111th US Open Congressional Golf Tournament in DC!!! We followed around UA golfers Jeff Overton and Gary Woodland for a couple of holes and got some great stuff for Twitter. Gary is such a great guy with an awesome personality and loves to interact with the fans. After he finished his first hole he went up to the sign bearer and introduced himself. Super nice guy. We followed them around for 5 or 6 holes then headed back to the UA hospitality tent. After a brief monsoon we headed out and drove back to Baltimore.
Im off to LA next week for a Women’s Editors Fitness and event and to do UA promotions for the BET awards. Then we have a couple of Lacrosse events to go to before the UA All America Lacrosse game July 4th Weekend. After that its off to the MLB all-star game! We have so much going on over the next month! Ill try to post as much as I can!
More to come soon!
